A dignity-first approach to public fundraising
Karuna India verifies campaigners privately while allowing public campaign pages to avoid unnecessary exposure of personal identity, where appropriate.
Why public identity may be limited
Many genuine campaigners hesitate to ask for public help because they fear social judgement, family pressure or damage to their dignity. Karuna India allows campaign presentation to be handled with care while still verifying the campaigner privately.
Private identity protection does not mean unverified fundraising. It means the platform can verify the person and documents without exposing unnecessary personal details to the public.
Campaign images and representative visuals
Some campaigns may use representative, symbolic or AI-assisted images where the campaigner does not want their personal photo shown publicly. This helps protect dignity and privacy.
Karuna India may still review identity, documents and campaign details internally before approval.
Private verification
KYC and document checks are used to identify the campaigner privately before campaign approval.
Public transparency
Public campaign pages should clearly explain the need, goal amount, category and campaign status without exposing unnecessary sensitive details.
Respectful fundraising
Our goal is to support people facing financial stress through a safer and more dignified fundraising process.
